BUSINESS ANALYST

Position: BUSINESS ANALYST

Hours: Full-time: Forty hours per week 

Job Duties: 

• Analyze legacy applications that are based on oracle forms and database to see if it is feasible to build the Java/Angular based front-end applications on top of the existing architecture or replace it with an updated data architecture.
• Analyze legacy data warehouse systems that provide spreadsheet reports and replicate the legacy architecture with updated technologies to use modern reporting platforms such as Tableau.
• Create and execute data analytic models on the legacy databases to identify potential issues that need to be solved in the new application architecture
• Run data analytics on the existing data to provide useful information to the business program to help resolve production issues impacting current customers.
• Create and run ETL and ELT data transformation models to migrate data from the legacy database to the new database model.
• Create design specification documents for the data architecture transformation activities. . Create clear and concise documentation, including technical specifications. Work effectively with a wide range of people. Work efficiently and meet deadlines. Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Handle multiple tasks concurrently. Work independently and as a member of a team.

Minimum Educ/Exp: Bachelor Degree or foreign equivalent in CS/CIS/Eng/MIS/Related and five years of progressive, post baccalaureate work experience. Employer will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in CS/CIS/Eng/MIS/Related and three years of related experience.

Ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented. 

Create, modify and test the code, forms, and script that allow computer applications to run. Work from specifications drawn up by software developers or other individuals. Develop and write computer programs to store, locate and retrieve specific documents, data and information. Develop secure, scalable, robust programs to interface multiple systems across various platforms. Participate in code review sessions and application unit testing which helps to deliver good quality of code. Prepare technical design specifications for program development.

Team is looking for a strong Apache 'Kafka' Developer

Responsibilities:

Provide expertise in Kafka brokers, zookeepers, Kafka connect, schema registry, KSQL, Rest proxy and Kafka Control center.
Ensure optimum performance, high availability and stability of solutions
Create topics, setup redundancy cluster, deploy monitoring tools, alerts and has good knowledge of best practices.
Create stubs for producers, consumers and consumer groups for helping onboard applications from different languages/platforms
Provide administration and operations of the Kafka platform like provisioning, access lists Kerberos and SSL configurations.
Use automation tools like provisioning using Docker, Jenkins and uDeploy.
Ability to perform data related benchmarking, performance analysis and tuning

Required Skills
